I am now planning to switch my whole pc setup which includes ryzen 5 2600 as cpu and my current gpu is rx 570.
I have a 1080p monitor with amd free sync at 75hz and the freesync range i guess is 56-75.
So is rx5500xt a good value upgrade from a rx 570 as i am mostly going to cap my fps on most games below 75 to utilize free sync.
So should i go for it or keep my rx 570 for more time and upgrade to something bigger just to know i don't think monitor will be upgraded until next year.
ALso i don't do streaming so is the 2600 a better value or 3500 as i am confused should i keep those 12 threads or not.

I don't believe the Ryzen 3500 is available at retail. I think that's OEM only.

The Ryzen 3600 is better than the 2600, but also costs more.
In India 3500 is available for approx 12k or 161$
BUT I saw R5 1600 is available for 9k or 121$ and at around this price Ryzen 3 3100 is also available.
I just want a cpu that could pull off 56-75 fps of range for freesync and i am going to upgrade gpu later so literally confused which cpu to choose as i will atleast use for 1.5 years.
I am seeing 1600 still does good and has 6C/12T compared to 3100 which has 4C/8T which will be better for future usage considering most games capped at 75fps max

The Ryzen 1600 should be out straight away.

The Ryzen 3500 is 6c/6t and would sit between the 3100 and 3600. Probably just a touch faster than the 3300X also, but ultimately comparable.

What's your build budget and what have you bought already?

You'll do just fine for a couple of years with the 3500 for sure. No doubt about it.

As mentioned above, 1080p at medium or higher should get you +70 frames in most titles.

Approx 670$ or 50k INR is my budget..
Out of which Rs 11900 goes for monitor i.e. 159$
Cabinet and fans go for 67$ approx
already have a corsair vs550 psu with 2400mhz ram (8+4) Gb stick.
Also am not planning for cpu overclocking so i could save some money with a A320 board rather than a B450.
Plus my refresh rate fixed to 75 means i won't need to go for a very high end gpu or cpu i guess.
R5 3500 goes turbo upto 4.1Ghz so no plan to overclock it anyways.

yeah i was thinking if i will ever need that 12 threads in real usage as i don't multitask while gaming plus i am a casual gamer not some pro competitive type one mostly play single player or story based titles.
So i was thinking 3500 should pull off
