I'm in the process of rigging a mid to entry level pc from a basic ACER prebuilt desktop. I really only plan to use it for esports and non AAA games, will upgrade to a better GPU later on. I currently have http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/5916954, with a new 144tz monitor, 1 ms with freesync (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omen-by-hp-24-5-led-fhd-monitor-black/5823065.p?skuId=5823065&ref=06&loc=01&ksid=fc25d33d-0128-4e12-9ab6-a62ad11bf194&ksprof_id=3&ksaffcode=pg265710&ksdevice=c). I see that Rx 560's have a recommended PSU of 400w, yet ive seen people, and used https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator to see, without insane overclocks, it should work on 300w. The two RX 560 models i'm looking at are https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137124 (requires only mobo power), and https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814932003 (higher OC, better cooling reviews) Is a PSU upgrade a must either way?

Solution
If you already have plans to upgrade the video card, why not just get the faster one now and not spend money twice?

If you have a good quality 300 watt PSU and the ACER desktop does not have power limitations through the PCIe slot, that should work with an RX 560.

I'd wait and spend another $80 on a faster card and better power supply vs getting the RX 560 now and then upgrading it later.
