anyone can help me deicde on which gpu i should go with between the two also am not bothered about the ray tracing on the rtx so we can minus that and i was gonna go with the rx but some say the rtx or nivida are more efficient and runs cooling along with longevity but maybe it has changed now? with the rx 5000 series for equal idk

Solution
Performance wise? They're more or less the same with the rx 5600 xt on new bios with a slight lead in like 3% but really it depend on the games.

Cooling wise? This depends on the brand and design of the card rather than the chip. If you buy a cheap rtx 2060 then it'll run hotter and louder than a rx 5600 xt. Same goes for rx 5600 xt.

Now, the real deal breaker is the driver. Amd gpus are known for their drivers issues. You will get a bunch of people saying their rx 5600 xt or rx 5700 xt works fine and another bunch saying they have a lot of issues. You'll need to do research before downloading a driver update. Well this is really just going on youtube to watch the review of latest drivers. It's not all bad with amd gpus because they...

Me personally, i got the rx 580 previously and never ran into any issues.

The people on nvidia side who complains about driver issues are lesser. You do have ray tracing but games are limited but more games are coming. At the end of the day, it depends on you. If you dont mind the driver issues, then choose whichever is the cheaper among them two since you do not care about ray tracing.

My suggestion for the gpus;
For rtx 2060 - Evga Rtx 2060 KO or MSI Geforce RTX 2060 GAMING Z 6G. These two are quite reliable.
For rx 5600 xt - Sapphire pulse rx 5600 xt or Sapphire nitro+ rx 5600 xt or Msi Gaming z Rx5600 xt.

The rule of thumb in my book is going with sapphire for amd gpus and evga for nvidia.

The problem with buying gpus based on cooling and brands is that a good rtx 2060 with good cooling design can come at the price of a cheap rtx 2070 or rtx 2060 super. So it depends on you again. Buy a cheap rtx 2060 which runs loud or good but pricey rtx 2060 at the price of a cheap rtx 2060 super or 2070 but these will run hot and loud as well.
