Hi,

I have this build;

R3 2200G
2x8 GB 3000mhz
B450 Motherboard

I want to buy a dedicated GPU and my options are;

Sapphire RX 570 Pulse OC 4GB - 162 USD
Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ OC 4GB - 181 USD
Gigabyte RX 570 GAMING 8GB - 182 USD
Gigabyte RX 580 GAMING 8GB - 233 USD
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse OC 8GB - 264 USD
Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ OC 8GB - 276 USD

Looking at the price tag and performance, which one do you suggest?

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest the LAST option, Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ OC 8GB - 276 USD. What is your screen RESOLUTION ? If you can afford, then buy any of the GPUs, but I think the last one should be faster than all other cards. But, there isn't a very HUGE performance gap between the RX 570 and RX 580.

Do you also have a compatible PSU with you ? Your current CPU is not that powerful though.

That's the thing. There really isn't much separating any of them in terms of performance. I have the non-OC version of the Sapphire RX 570 Pulse 4GB and, once manually overclocked with Afterburner, it's only around 1 to 3 frames per second short compared to the Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ OC 8GB in most games at 1080p.

Personally, I wouldn't pay over $100 more for such a tiny difference when that same $100 could either be saved or spent on other more useful kit.

Thank you. On a daily basis I use MacBook Pro 13 with touchbar hooked up to dual 24 inch 1080p monitors. I’m a web developer and I build this desktop rig for mostly Windows and Linux needs. I run it maximum 2 hours a day for testing etc. Beside that I wanted to use this rig as an HTPC and maybe for gaming to relax after work. My other components are 1 TB SSD and 500w 85+ PSU. As I don’t need a total overkill everyday usage machine for my needs I preferred the price/performance ratio. If things slow down in the future I might upgrade some parts.

It would certainly make an excellent HTPC with either an RX 570 or 580 in it.

I use madVR for video rendering under Windows 10 as it totally blows away the default Windows video renderer for picture quality and has some of the best upscaling/downscaling algorithms currently available anywhere. It runs as a plug-in renderer with most popular Windows media players and is entirely GPU-based for video processing.

Maybe that's something you'd be interested in looking in to if/when you get the time.

I live in Turkey and prices are high here. I can order from Amazon or Newegg but tax and shipping makes the price higher than the local retailers.

MSI 1660 TI 385 USD
MSI 1660 340 USD

Compared to the others, that seems to be a great deal.

Out of curiosity, and this may be just excessive caution on my part, what is the manufacturer and model number of your power supply?

Or, if the label is visible and easily accessible, is there any way you can take a photo of it?

It may be a 500W power supply, but there are excellent 500w power supplies, and there are terrible 500w power supplies. It would be helpful to know exactly what you have.
