[SOLVED] RX 5700 XT 30% usage

Solution
SPECS
Ryzen 5 2600
8gb Ram
RX 5700 XT
Asus Prime b350-PLUS
Single 8gb DIMM? If so, it’ll be holding back your 2600 and in turn holding back your 5700 XT. You need dual channel ram, preferably 16 gigs. Don’t buy another single DIMM to go with your current ram, buy a new 2x8gb kit. 3200-3600 mhz is ideal.

My RX 5700 XT usage is incredibly low on a lot of games, power draw as well. Usually less than 40% usage and under 60 watts.
Things ive tried-
Uninstalling drivers using ddu
checking pcie
upping power limit
updating chipset drivers/and bios

I have the exact same specs and the same problem with my 5700 XT, I've even tried resetting the whole OS but no luck, please let me know if you find out how to fix it

Set graphics settings higher in order to put more load on the GPU. Make sure that the PCIe slot configuration is set to 3.0 in the bios.

also have a 600W PSU idk if that matters or not
Yup, looks like you only have one stick of ram. You’ll see a huge improvement with dual channel 16 gigabytes. Also enable XMP if your ram is rated at faster than 2133 mhz, looks like that’s what your ram is running at right now

I just realized one of my ram sticks were not working so I had to put it in a different slot so they're dual channel. It did give me more frames however, my cpu usage is still around 80-90% while my gpu is is staying around 60-70%

Updated: I ordered a 3600mhz 16gb kit and my performance issues are gone comepletely. I had no idea ram affected performance this much!

When using a Ryzen processor, especially Ryzen 5 3000 series and above, RAM is extremely important. Fast ram in dual channel will always significantly increase the performance of a Ryzen.
