Hello, i have a problem with my 5700xt after driver updates, sometimes sounds lagging. On 20.9.1 driver my latency was ok, but always after i install newest drivers latencymon show me stable 500 latency. And if i off my internet adapter in windows latency drop to normal.

Only full cleaning of all AMD drivers and installing drivers 20.9.1 and older helps me.

Thank you for the email and sharing the valuable information.
I will make a note of this and will forward to our internal relevant team within AMD for further investigation.

Well, it's sounds like "We know about this problem, just wait, and we may be fix it or may be not" Sad, 20.9.1 is september driver.

Hello Kegami,

i have the same problems with newer versions. My last version that works fine is 20.10.1. I get similar latencys of 27500 and already reported my problem to the amd support. I'm writing with them since a few months and I actually have sound cracks and pops. I'm now in contact with a specialist from amd. At the beginning amd thought it is a problem with my dac driver, but i get the same problems without the dac and driver. I'm just not able to hear the cracks and pops.
If i know something new I will tell you about it.

Hi Kegami,

I would appreciate, if you could send your pc specs. The amd expert think, that the problem is caused by my pc configuration or bios settings. When you got a totally different setup, it have to be a bug in the new drivers.
I think it‘s a problem with the driver, but amd won‘t believe me.
I‘m writing with the support for months now.

CPU: Ryzen 3600

RAM: 2х8 Ballistix sport lt (3600 OC) - OC, XMP, stock doesn't matter

I already updated BIOS 3 times with same results.

Hi Kegami,

Thank you for replying. I‘m writing your specs to the amd expert. Because you have a different setup, it is not a argument anymore from amd that the system configuration is causing the high latencys.
I have a Gigabyte z390 Gaming x and an i9 9900k.

Hi Kegami,

I wich model do you have from the rx 5700 xt? I got the xfx thicc II ultra and my father has the power color. What is interesting, is that he does not have the issue. So maybe it is related to the custom model.

Yes, I have tried more than you can imagine. I'm trying to find a solution for 6 Months. I also said before I'm in contact with amd for months, so it's obvious that i updated the Bios.

No need for snippy. I'm just trying to help.
See the article I linked. That's what makes me think this isn't a fault of the AMD driver.

You hadn't explicitly discussed trying BIOS updates in this thread, only GPU driver versions. If I go super sleuth, I can see that you're currently on BIOS v4.8 of your mobo, which after looking it up, is from 3/23/2021, which is indeed 3 months after this thread was created. Hence, you've presumably updated your BIOS since starting the thread.

Also, there's no guarantee that the 4.8 BIOS update for your mobo contained a fix for the dpc issue either.

There is a v5.0 mobo BIOS update posted now (since May).

I appreciate that you're trying to help, but I have tried nearly everything. I tested my graphicscard in 3 systems, changed ram, cpu. It have to be a issue with the amd driver or the xfx 5700 xt.
