Hi all, my friend recently purchased a RX 5700xt and in the Adrenalin software and any other gpu overclocking software, it doesn't let him set the clock speed to above 1440MHz. The voltage control however works perfectly fine in the Adrenalin software. He can set the voltage to 1050mV, but the frequency refuses to go to the appropriate boost clock.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, most likely the card was being used for crypto mining and the previous owner flashed the vBIOS to limit it to 1440MHz for power saving purposes. Sucks they can't at least take a couple minutes to flash their cards back to stock before selling.

Can you provide the brand and exact model? Then we can look up the vBIOS to flash it back to stock.

That would make a lot of sense. The card is a Gigabyte RX 5700XT Gaming OC 8gb.
