Hi!

I'm running the following:

GPU: RX 5700 XT

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
MOB:MPG X570 Gaming Plus
PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 750W Gold
RAM: G.Skill 16 GB 3200

I just bought a new M.2 SSD, and after installing it I get no Signal after the windows logo.

I have come to the conclusion that it is something with the drivers/gpu, as when I am in safe mode or have uninstalled the drivers completely I get a signal (using DDU). Only after installing the drivers do I get no signal.

I have:

1. Updated bios

2. Cleard CMOS

3. Unistalled drivers (several times, using DDU & AMDCleanUp).

4. Did a compleat fresh install of windows 10

5. Tried 20.5.1 driver

6. Removed the new SSD

plz help

ps I'm using hdmi as I don't have a displayport monitor.

Edit: The system has been runing fine with this monitor for the last 10 ish months.

Have you tried using all the HDMi ports on the card?

Looking around online ive found a few posts on the AMD forums about this issue, some fixed it by using a different HDMI cable while others had to use a DP cable then plugged in a HDMI and for some reason it worked. It appears to be a random bug in the drivers which isnt shocking with AMD track record of driver quality.

There are so many problems with navi. I had a 5700 XT for a while and it kept crashing so I switched back to Nvidia. I wouldn't worry about the card being dead. It's probably fine. The issue is usually the darn drivers. It sounds to me like Windows 10 is auto installing a crappy driver try disconnecting your network adapter while installing windows and use a laptop or another PC to download a proper driver and transfer it to your desktop using a usb flash drive or some other external drive. Then save that driver to your drive and use it if it works and you get in that situation again.
