RX 580 8GB Nitro+ Micron Memory ETH Hashrate

I have an RX 580 8GB Nitro+ w/ Micron memory and I can only get 25.4Mh/s out of it with modded BIOS. I've got the latest driver and have tried using 1500 and 1750 straps. Any tips would be appreciated.

Also, how many memory errors can be showing in HWInfo64 for long-term, non-stop mining rig? I would think zero, but other people talk about getting 29MH/s and I'm getting some memory errors at 25MH/s.

Changing the memory straps is required , but to realize the full bump up you also have to either

A) use the beta block chain drivers
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-S...

B) use the current Adrenaline drivers and change the card to compute as primary function in Global settings. that should get you over 27+

It literally makes no difference at all for mining, as long as you're not showing invalid (not stale) shares at the pool, who cares.

If you intend to game with the card also, well then that's a problem. Normally you correct his by manually cutting the RAM speed back to the strap you copied the timing from (1500 in your case)

What bios did you use? What are your settings in Afterburner?

I modded my original BIOS with 1750 straps and 950mV power mod.

2200MHz memory (it will run 2250 but with a few memory errors in HWInfo64)
1250MHz core
950mV core
(set in BIOS, makes it easy not to have to change settings in Afterburner)

I'm sure it can get better power savings, but it's what I'm using for now gettings 32.1 MH/s at ~96W as reported in HWInfo64.

I have a Hynix 8GB Nitro+ 580 that's getting 31MH/s with same settings.

GPU0: RX 570 4GB Nitro+ Elpida (was getting 30MH/s at first, not sure what happened.)
GPU1: RX 580 8GB Nitro+ Micron
GPU2: RX 580 8GB Nitro+ Hynix

Don't forget to use the compute workload instead of graphics in AMD Settings with Adrenaline driver. That or compute blockchain driver (I'm using Adrenaline.)

My rig right now has 5 gpu:

#1 RX470 Nitro Mining edition (1 dvi) Samsung -> 27 Mh/s
#2 RX570 Nitro+ 4gb Elpida -> 30.2 Mh/s
#3 RX470 Armor 4gb Hynix -> 27 Mh/s
#4 RX570 Pulse 4gb Elpida -> 27 Mh/s

I am going to try your bios and settings for the 580 and see what happens.

Also, I don't know if it is because I am using the beta for blockchain but i do not see the option for switching to compute from graphics. I am guessing it has it already activated by default.

Let me know if you want the bios and settings for the nitro+ rx570 elpida, the one I am using is very stable. Been using it for a week now no issues, single mining.

I have my monitor plugged to this card so I tried plugging it to a different one to see if that was the reason and the hashrate stayed the same (weird) it even lowered every other job.

Appreciate the bios though cause now I don't have to modify settings in AB anymore. Guess i will do the same for the other cards so I save myself sometime not having to go to AfterBurner.

Did you mod the bios? I don't know what driver to use with EthOS but are you using computer driver?

There have been times it got up in to the tens of thousands of memory errors (usually after 3 or more days) and began getting incorrect shares and would I have to either disable/re-enable the GPU or simply restart the mining app.

This is it right now, I didn't have HWInfo running but I started it. i'll try to post another screen after some time. I believe some memory errors is okay (for me) as I haven't seen any issue with them running with just a few memory errors. But of course, the lower the better.

(GPU3=Micron 8GB shown in HWInfo with 1 memory error.)

Nicehash running on that system also with 2 other Nvidia GPUs (7GPUs total).

Here it is again after 89 hours continuous 32MH/s. A few errors. Other than that no issues though.
