Rx 580 8gb or GTX Geforce 1060 6gb/ R5 1600

I dont know if I should pair my Ryzen 5 1600 with the GTX 1060 or the Rx 580.
I was initially going to go for the 580 but then I switched to the 1060 for the performance and the low wattage consumption.
Does AMD Cpu's paired with Nvidia GPU's affect in Gaming?

No not really. I've seen many FX-6300s and 8350s paired with a GTX 1060 or 1070. Just make sure you have a clean driver installed. Honestly, they are pretty much on equal playing field. Go with the one that is cheaper and has the better waranty (ASUS, Gigabyte, EVGA etc)

i had a similar choice to make a while back. i chose the RX 580 8GB as i could buy a cheap FreeSync monitor with it.

I've heard a lot of people complaining that Ryzen had been benchmarking worse than predicted in games due to there being an issue with Nvidia cards used with the tests. I don't know if that is true or not (I personally think it's people coming up with excuses), but it may affect your decision. Either way, both cards are great choices.

BTW, the 580 is slightly faster overall than a 1060, but is a lot less efficient. The 1060 is faster than a 480 though.
