In my country (India)
currently the RX 580 (asus dual oc 8gb edition) sells for ~295$ and the RTX 2060 (msi ventus ) sellf for 485$

I'm interested in max settings 1080p 60fps gaming, not really looking into fps wars. And should hold good for AAA titles for atleast 2-3 years at the same settings.

I heard the rx 580 will hold good for the near future because of extra ram and dx12 support.

also rx 580 bundles 3 games, the 2060 only one game

Is the rtx 2060 worth the extra price for being futureproof? How well would the rx 580 hold up in the coming years?

Solution
both card serve different market. hence the big price difference between the two to begin with. at 1080p 6GB VRAM will not going to be an issue. plus you can always tweak your in game setting to lower VRAM usage. texture is one of those like to use a lot of VRAM for ultra but most often you won't see the difference even down to medium unless you have side by side still picture to do the comparison.

in case of RX580 vs RTX2060 the extra 2GB might not even give the RX580 the edge it needs since RTX2060 is a whole lot faster in performance. and in regards to better DX12 support RTX2060 should be fine. the thing with DX12 is a bit complicated. in reality it is not really about AMD are better at it than nvidia. but lets not discuss that...

in your case RX580 should be good enough for your need. but if you end up picking RTX2060 then you will hold those card longer before you need to upgrade again in the future. about how well RX580 should hold up in the coming years is a bit hard to answer since nothing is certain with game development.
