I have a Ryzen 1300X on an MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon MoBo, 16Gb Corsair RGB Pro 3000MHz RAM, Corsair CX750M PSU and XFX RX580 GTS Black Edition (8Gb). I upgraded my monitor to the Dell S2719DGF for a little future proofing for my next GPU. I set up global wattman to max power, and my windows is set for ultimate performance setting (Windows 10 Pro). I was using a LG IPS 1080 monitor that ran at 60Hz. I never had a problem running most games on ultra settings for 60 Hz. Using a brand new HDMI 2.0 cable, I set the monitor up to run 1080 at 144Hz, and 2 different games (Rainbow 6 Siege and Resident Evil 2 remake), both set up to run at 1080, cause my screen to blank out quite a bit. I turn them back down to 60 Hz, and the blanking stops...can any one enlighten me how to fix this? Thanks!

Use DP not HDMI some GPUs and monitors have issues with high refresh rates over HDMI. even if the cable supports it the card or monitor might not. Display Port has a lot better high refresh rate support.

Thanks for the reply...I was thinking of trying a DisplayPort cable next anyways. I will post on here tomorrow if it fixes my problem.
