Hello,
I'm running a pretty old build right now
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R
Core i7-920
AMD HD 6950
and would upgrade my gpu for something like an RX-580 which run PCIe 3 but my 6 years old mobo seems to only hold what i believe is PCIe 1 slot :
"2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16
(The PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)"
I read PCIe3 can run on 2 or 1 and max bandwidth might not be reach.
My question is then how bad would it be ? Bandwidth issue y/n ? Power issue y/n ?
I do believe my CPU can still handle it.
Edit : Alright, my bad, after further investigation it seems i'm running PCIe 2, i guess it's good then.
A compatibility confirmation would ease me still.
