Hello,
I got myself a Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ Special Edition, its bios are changed from the original ones.
The bios are:

These bare the bios when my bios switch is towards the display ports also known as "Quiet Mode".
When I turn my bios switch to the right, to "Performance Mode" it shows RX 580 2048SP.
The bios change to:

What could be the problem with it?
Will it be solved if I flash my bios to the original ones? Is flashing safe?
It would be really helpful if you guide me as I am new to PC gaming.
Thank you!

That is normal for the Sapphire card. In silent/quiet mode, the card actually works on lower clocks, and uses less SPs as well. Because the BIOS changes the RX 580 variant to the SP SKU, IMO.

Sapphire is actually using a new and same PCB with this BIOS to work like an SP variant.

Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon RX 580X, which uses the same GPU but has all 2304 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon RX 580 2048SP to reach the product's target shader count. It features 2048 shading units, 128 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs.

BTW, in the meantime, please DON'T flash any VBIOS or alter any settings. I will get back to you after more confirmation from Sapphire.

Thank you mate for replying to my question, I would like to let you know that I bought the card used and it's bios were changed to 1340/2000 from the stock 1430/2100. Also, the 2048SP version appears when I switch my bios to Performance Mode.

Wait a sec. The BIOS was already flashed ? That complicates this a bit. And, do you get the 2048SP variant in "Performance Mode" or "Silent Mode" ? If it is "Performance Mode" then you bought the 2048SP GPU from the buyer who flashed the original RX 580's VBIOS to the SP's variant's BIOS.

Sorry for making it complicated. Yes I get 2048SP variant when it is in Performance Mode.
In Silent Mode it is normal RX 580. It is Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 Special Edition, what do you think could be the solution to this?
