[SOLVED] RX 580 Upgrade

I can get a gtx 1660 super for £200 from amazon, is it worth the upgrade from a RX580 gb? Ideally i would like to upgrade to a 5600xt but im worried my psu won't handle it, ive read the minimum psu for 5600xt is 500w, does this take into account the bios update? Im not keen on replacing my psu.

How old is your CX500 PSU?

5600XT will work with this PSU as well

That doesn't seem to be true; according to userbenchmark, the 5600 XT is definitely faster: Link

Now whether he should get a 5600 XT is another thing entirely. The PSU looks fine, the "bios update" will make no difference, but I've heard way too many issues of these navi cards having software and driver issues. There are several people on this forum who have traded in their new 5600/5700 for an RTX card because of the constant issues.

yes , go for a 5600xt or a 5700xt . i'm not sure about your psu though , 580 would always be the minimum . But you can check with a psu wattage calculator site

Ive just been a thew psu calculators, and apparently the 5600xt is more power efficient then my rx580.
