Question RX 580 with low quality 500W power supply

Hello everyone, so I've been using a 500w PSU for a long time, and I've been wanting to use a RX 580 with the PSU, but it only has a 6pin, and I need a 8pin, should I use an adapter? Or buy a new PSU, because the PSU is a unknown brand "Codegen 500W"

Buy a new PSU for two very good reasons:

1) Codegen branded PSU is a piece of junk.

2) Use of adapters to make 8-pin is not recommended anyway.
