[SOLVED] RX 580

So I bought the RX 580 the other day and, I want to know what would happen if I were to connect the GPU to my motherboard without connecting the pcie pins into it. I know this sounds like a really stupid question, but I am interested and knowing and don't want to risk my card by trying it myself

The GPU won't get any POWER, and you won't be able to boot your system properly, or maybe sometimes you may also get a black/blank screen on your Monitor as well. The PCI-E cables need to plugged into the GPU, to utilize it's full potential.

What's the make/model of your PSU ?

Cool , I was just wondering. It was a thought in my mind. I figured obviously that you needed the pci-e cables plugged in but was just curious
