[SOLVED] Rx 590, 8+6 pin? Or 8 pin only?

Hey. Recently I bought a rx 590, which is 8+6 pin. My question is... Do I need to plug both? I only have one cable from psu which works 8+6, the other one is 4+4 and doesn't fit there. Can someone help?

I do not understand what you're saying. If you have a cable from your PSU that is 8+6 and you need an 8+6, what's the problem?

And no, you shouldn't try stuffing your CPU connector into your GPU, unless you don't like having a GPU and want it to meet its demise.

I have a 2 cables available from the power supply. One of them is then distributed and has 6 + 2 plus 6 + 2. The other one only has 4 + 4. That's what I meant. I have to connect the one that makes the 6 + 2 plus 6 + 2 distribution to the graphics card, right?

Yes, the 6+2 cable is the one that powers a graphics card. The 4+4 connector is for CPU and cannot be used for anything but a CPU unless you want to have a very bad day.

What's the exact model of the PSU?

The cables/connections are typically labeled so you should see one that is CPU, for the CPU slot on the motherboard, then cables labeled VGA for the graphics card.

The 6+2 plugs are the PCIe power plugs. The 4+4 is the EPS power plug for your motherboard. Please don't plug stuff in to places that don't fit.

Well after the driverps update, the fans are stopped and i have low fps. Probably the Intel HD is using instead. What is the problem? lel

Yeah. I think already work, fps are stable now.

So, i was playing rocket league and the pc just shut down. I bought the GPU today and im very disapointed. Could be the PSU?
Here's my specs.

Intel Core i5-4690k 3.5GHz 6MB
Asus Z97-AR
Kingston HyperX Savage DDR3-1600MHz 2x4GB
Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB
XFX TS 550W

It sounds more like you are having driver issues/incompatibilities with the old card. This is how you fix that:

First, install DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uni...
Next, install iObit Driver Booster: http://www.rs.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php?

Then, boot into safe mode (with networking). To do this:
1. Type "msconfig.exe" into the windows search bar without quotes.
2. Right-Click on the application when it pops up and click "run as administrator."
3. Navigate to the boot section of the application, and click "safe mode with networking"
4. Hit apply and reboot.

To finish up:
1. Run DDU in Safe Mode.
2. Disable safe mode in the msconfig.exe application.
3. Reboot.
4. Run Driver Booster and let it re-install the display drivers.

You should be done after one last reboot!

I unninstaled the drivers, but not the registry. Could be that?
