RX 590 Help?

Hello everyone! I was in need of a GPU upgrade and wanting to pick up an AMD card to take advantage of my 144hz freesync monitor. With the release of AMD's RX590 today I jumped on the offer grabbing the sapphire nitro+ card along with a free 3 game bundle.

Currently I have a Ryzen 3 1300x and a Corsair 80+ Bronze 550w PSU.

I was wondering if the Ryzen 3 would create a bottleneck for this GPU, additionally is my PSU capable of handling this card?

I plan on upgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 in the next month as well as a new PSU if needed but was just curious as to if they are capable of handling this new card, Thanks!

The RX 590 isn't really much faster than an RX 580, are you sure that you want to spend the extra money? The 1300X is fine, see if you can get 3.9-4.0GHz out of it and I wouldn't consider upgrading until zen 2 comes out in a few months.

I had already purchased the RX 590 at time of post, I realize its not too much faster than the 580 but it came with a 3 game bundle valued at $150 and at least one one of the games Id like to play which is a $60 value. I was unaware of zen 2, thank you for that info, I have no problem waiting as long as my 1300x wont create a bottleneck for the 590

also is my Corsair CX 550w PSU strong enough for this card?

You need a 600W PSU as the RX590 is more power hungry. The 1300x is going to create a bottleneck for you as well but you still can play at 60FPS.

upgrading to 2600x will give you a 10% improvement and you could up it by some overclocking.

Spending that much money on a 2600X for a 10% improvement makes no sense and why would you suggest someone upgrade from a 550W PSU to a 600W PSU? The CX 550M is perfectly capable of powering that setup.
