rx 590 or rx 580?

i was wondering how likely it is that the rx 580 will overclock to the same speeds as the rx 590, and if its worth it for the rx 590.

Not very likely.

An RX 580 is very lucky to OC to 1500MHz and most do not.

Worth is something only you can determine for you.
