Recently i bought a new graphics cards since mine was failing when i tried to play Kerbal Space Program 2. All was going well till I remembered that i had to manually set the Window's config for my monitor to 144hz, once i did it, only a like of about 3/4 pixel's tall showed on the monitor, nothing more, i didn't pay much mind to it sincei thought it was a problem with my HDMI cable, and also i wasn't doing much gaming so i didnt really need 144hz.

Yesterday i went to play league of legends (after months) and noticed that the same thing happened, i had that same bug, even tho the game isn't suposed to go past 60fps, what i find wierd is that in Kerbal Space Program 2 my GPU behaves perfectly...

No one seems to be having the same problem as me (afaik) tho i'm running it on a 500w PSU (which for my setup should be enough).

According to and the minimum psu for that card should a good 650 watt unit. What is likely happening is that when you start hitting that mark, is that the power draw of your system goes up and your psu may not be able to cope.

Even if the psu doesn’t turn out to be the culprit I’d swap it out for at least a good 650 watt unit, though personally I’d go for a 750 or 850 watt for extra headroom and then you’d have room for future upgrades. A system like yours could probably accept a 5800x3d. But if you were to upgrade to any 5000 series cpu that would be a nice upgrade. Regardless however, even if the power supply isn’t what resolves it, it’s a good first step as then you know you have good clean power. If you have issues after that, then you may need to rma the card.

Makes total sense to me, they may feel 500 watt is enough but I doubt it for long term use.

Get not just a good branded PSU but also a good model.

Just because it has a good brand name behind it doesn't mean it will meet your needs the model is the most important part of the PSU's brand name.

Yeah I can’t tell you that will solve your issues but it just seems to me that the psu is a good place to start so you’ll know you have good power and a better idea what’s going on at that point.
RX6750XT and 500 watt PSU

I would think his chances are anywhere from quite high to extremely high it will resolve his issue but ...... ya never know.

Replaced it with a RM650x and unforntunately the problem wasn't solved. At least not this once, but at least now i Substance Painted doesn't freeze randomly!
Either way, after some more digging, i realized that this issue occured on HDMI and DP and that i could still take printscreen and the print was ok.
After some further digging i found that some AOC monitors have similar issues at high refresh rates, and after even some more digging i think that i isolated the problem to my monitor, it is a bit over 2 years old by now... I hope i can still get it in waranty...
Thanks for the help tho!

If anyone could tell me if AOC monitors are reliable and i was just unlucky, or if i should stay away from them would be appreciated!

One thing that must be asked is "What card did you previously" because if it was a GeForce card, running DDU before installing that Adrenalin Driver Package would be crucial to avoiding driver issues (which this could easily be). If you haven't done this, I would advise it. It might be a permanent solution to all of your problems.
