[SOLVED] RX 6800 vs RX 6800 XT?

Solution
You can't really compare the 2080 to next gen series cards. Also how hot does your GPU get?
The 2080 Super is only about 20%-30% slower than a 3070 when RT is off. You can compare quite easily if you look at reviews. It also demonstrates that even what is considered a strong card still only managed medium settings at 1440p 120fps. I also gave you what a 3080 can achieve and it’s not max settings at >140fps in the same game. The point being is you want to run top settings get the best gpu you can as even a 3090 or 6900XT are only approximately 10% faster than the 3080 (AMD’s cherry picked numbers for the 6900XT). My Gigabytes 3080 Gaming OC runs very cool, it generally peaks at 67-69c while gaming or in benchmarking.
Well I'm not going to play on low or medium settings on a 1440P monitor...
Then don’t spare any cost. I had a 2080S and COD MW for example needed medium settings with RT off to average 120+ FPS on all maps. I’ve upgraded to a 3080 and can now run very high settings with RT on at 130+ FPS. I’m very happy with it but it’s not max settings. 1440p 144Hz is very gpu heavy in some games.

That's quite depressing to hear. Might as well return my monitor and just buy a 4K tv and a PS5. I'm still on the fence about building a ~$2K PC.

Consoles are only going to do real 4K at 60fps by the looks of it and even then unlikely to like as good as pc at higher settings. The 4K 120fps is looking like it will use different techniques to achieve so won’t look as good. Personally I also want a keyboard and mouse for many games.
