Summary: I'd like to get the best available card that fits into my mini case below. However, not sure if I should focus on taking advantage of Freesync, or focus on Raytracing.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE:
Q1 2023 BUDGET RANGE: Maxing ~$1000 USD

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT:
Gaming (Mount and Blade Bannerlord 2, Latest Modern Warfare, World of Warships, Total War Rome 2, World of Warships, DayZ etc.) AND youtube content creation (Camtasia)

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Current GPU is a Nvidia 1070.

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS:
New Build will be in a mini ATX case:
  • Intel Core i5-12400 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor
  • ASRock Z690M-ITX/ax Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard
  • Lian Li Q58 (PCIe 4.0) Mini ITX Desktop Case
  • Corsair SF750 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply
  • Acer EI491CUR Sbmiipphx 49.0" 5120 x 1440 120 Hz Curved Monitor

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg, Amazon COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US

PARTS PREFERENCES: No preference but I am not sure if I should just go for the latest and best that can fit in the small case, or strictly stick to AMD to take advantage of the Freesync?

OVERCLOCKING: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION:
5120 x 1440 but games will be in 2k

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Would like to run with a card that can run the above mentioned games as high as possible and potentially take advantage of Ray tracing.

use pcpartpicker when selecting gpu for your case that would fit
click on case, then select your lian li q58 pcie 4.0
then click on gpu and it will list all GPUs which will fit

btw there is no 7900 XTX within your budget which would fit in your case, cheapest is at 1300$,

so with current pricing, you can go either with RTX 4070TI or RX 7900XT

Thanks for the reply! As far as Raytracing vs freesync, any thoughts on which would give a better overall experience?
