rx480 vs rx570

Im going to build my first pc in about a month and with the new graphic cards being released I'm wondering if I should get the rx480 or the new rx570 (which rn is $20 cheaper than the rx480)

Why would they have discounts on the RX 480 later? The RX 580 is the same GPU, they're not going to make any more 480 they'll just sell them until their stock is gone. If anything the price on the 480s will go up as major retailers run out of stock. As far as RX 480 vs RX 570 goes, if they're the same price, definitely the 480.

I'd get which ever one was least expensive. Though one may be technically faster than the other, the reality is they are both in the same performance category. It's not like one is going to give you 60fps at 1080p in a game where the other one maxes out at 45fps.

The overclocked RX 570 performs better than reference RX 480 based on the market pricing go for any of them but personally for best value of money RX 570 is a better choice
