[SOLVED] rx5700xt freezeup after turning off display and drivers not working after reboot

Bit of a complicated issue, when in a game if I turn off my display when I later come back and turn it back on my pc will be unresponsive (black screen with the task bar occasionally flicking into view before disappearing) can't tab out, code programs etc. nothing works except restarting the pc.
After I've restarted the pc my graphics drivers will be completely broken (I'll get a popup saying no drivers are installed) and I'm forced to use AMD cleaner and reinstall adrenalin drivers.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue? Or does anybody else have the same issue?

I think that maybe turning off your display is screwing up something in your GPU.
Obviously this shouldn't happen.
I would try another display.
If the same thing happened....I would try another GPU.

idk, never had this issue with my 960 when it was connected to this exact monitor, could be a driver issue?

I think it's a hardware issue because you aren't doing anything with the software to make the problem occur.
