Hi guys,

Here is my setup :

W11
B550m msi bazooka
Ryzen 5 3600
Rx580 8gb sapphire pulse
16go ram 3200
500ssd
550w platinum 80 serie psu

Im having weird behaviour from my rx580 8gb sapphire pulse.

One day all of sudden pc shut down... And didnt want to boot anymore. I played with the 8 pcie cable on top of the graphic card.. heard crispy electric noise so i stopped but the pc started again but shut down again. I disconnected the cable and see on pin 4 (which is a ground but also a sense B (green) in some case depending of the psu if im correct) a burnt mark, but no fumes, no smell... Fuses are fine.

By disconnecting the 2pin of the 6+2pin pcie, the pc will start. Fans of the rx580 will spin as normal but no signal on my monitor... On my motherboard, all auto test leds behave right and the vga led does not stay lit (meaning everything is fine). Quite bad as my cpu as no integrated graphics i cannot go further. If i connect the 8x pcie as supposed to be, pc won't start at all.

What is your opinion about my issue ? Is it possible the gpu is dead but turn on ?

I checked all voltages and resistances with a the card opened and connected to a pcie riser and it s all fine : vcore, etc all are corrects.

Im wondering if the bios could have been bricked.

Cheers

550 is the advertised wattage of the unit while platinum is the advertised 80+ efficiency of the unit. What is the make and model of the unit and it's age?

You might want to drop the card into another (donor)platform and see if you get any display though the first I'd do with the card after removing it from the build is to replace the PCIe input connector on the card.

Hello
As @Lutfij said earlier, you may want to move the card first to another test system.
Depending on results there you can draw some conclusions.
But as i see you might have two versions :
1 - power connector is fried so you will change it (the easiest problem)
2- the power circuit on the video card pcb is affected which lead to a visit to a tech shop.
