Hooked up an old 720P Vizeo flat screen tv with long hdmi cable to use strictly as a monitor to view audacity in an isolated area while recording vocals. My main monitor in the other room is 1080P. On the 2nd display (720P) desktop only shows my background or it's like zoomed in after choosing to extend display. What can I do to be able to see what I need to on the 720P display? Or is that even possible? I swear I've done this with a 1080 and 720 years back but not cooperating with me tonight. Thanks in advance for any help.

The resolution will vary from one monitor to the next, meaning that if you have multiple monitors at different native resolutions, they will run at those native resolutions. You might want to try a shorter cable or see if your display is either extended or duplicated. I'm assuming you're on Windows OS though.

The simple answer is yes.
