The the gpu I want to install is MSI rx 580 Armor 8gb. I am using at this time a GTX550 TI every thing works fine. What is going on is when I put the 580 in it gets to the blue windows square it goes black and says no signal the fan stops and nothing I tried to do hard start and same thing nothing. I had to put the 550 back in to get it to boot up. I know its not the power supply I bought a 1000 watt. The bios is updated with the newest one Every thing works fine with the gtx 550. I am so frustrated with it. Can anyone give me some idea whats going on? P.S. The 580 worked at first then while I was downloading the drivers is when the screen went blank with on signal

Kenteck KTPS 1050 and yes used display driver uninstaller The 550 is working but i'm getting flicker for nanu sec's Could it be the mobo I bought it off ebay used I put the 580 in my old hp computer and the 600 watt ps and the card works ok. its quad core 3.0 and 6 gb ram.

I put 580 back in with a different dvi cable it worked for a little while and the screen went black but this time I didn't get a no signal just black screen. I did notice that the light for the hard drive was on still booting up. So I pressed the rest button rebooted the system got the blue square and screen went black. I put the 550 back in played a game for about 4 hours with no problems. Could it be the type of DVI cable? My Acer monitor doesn't have HDMI just RGB and DVI.
