I was mid game when sudden realisation hit me... I didnt turn up my fans, the GPU (RX580) hit 91C, is this a dangerous temperature? and can this temp cause any damage do the gpu? Thanks!
91C is a bit too high for that GPU, while it's not enough to damage it (I think that's above 95C) you'll certainly encounter thermal throttling (lowers performance to avoid damage).

Did you lower the fan curve temporarily?
When im browsing the web etc. i keep the fan at 45%, forgot to turn it up to 100% when i started playing

I would just create a fan curve via MSI Afterburner to the point where once it reaches 75C the curve should be at 100%.
