Question rx580 monitor + tv

I just bought a used rx580 8gb everything works fine the only thing i cant get to work is i cant connect it to my tv.
My monitor is connected to dvi-d and the tv is plugged into hdmi so i read somewhere that u cant have dvi-d and hdmi at the same time plugged on this card.
Could it be this? Thanks

It should work. I don't see why it wouldn't. What happens when you try?

there's no signal nothing not detectable :<
i find it strange i had no problems with my old card gtx 770

i found this post on reddit:
What ports are on the back of your RX580?
On certain graphics cards, the DVI and HDMI port are shared so you can only use one or the other (not both). The remaining ports (likely mini-DP or DP) can then be used to output to a second display.

That's possible I guess. I've heard of such things before. I haven't heard that about any 580 card but I don't know all of them. Get an adapter.
