[SOLVED] Rx580 o4g -VS- XFX Rx580 o8g

So I am trying to build a computer and I am looking for a reasonable graphics card. I was looking at the Rx580 o4g and then about a week or two later came across the XFX Rx580 o8g. I was just Wondering what the difference between the two were because the Rx580 o8g seems to be the one I would want to go with on paper. The pricing difference is so small ($10 on amazon) that I was wondering if there is some huge downside to choosing the Rx580 o8g compared to the o4g

Ok so I got an rx 580 4gig, I did the dreaded thing and flashed it to an 8gig as it was a saphire nitro and a saphire bios.
Great it flashed perfect no errors and asked for a reboot.
When rebooted the screen was torn in 3 parts lines everywhere. Funny thing is this card has the ram 8gig but disabled partly due to failed ram thus 4gig.

Ok so what did I do. 1st saved my old bios and was able to flash it back, few so yes it can be done and no if it's 4gig it's 4gig for a reason.

Ooh forgot to mention it's a roster keeps my room nice and warm.
