I'm planning to build PC with limited budget. I'm confused what to choose.
Main goal is playing modern games at 1080p 144hz. Not necessarily at ultra settigs, high/medium is good too.
So my questions:
1) is will 1600+1080 will be good option? Or should I buy intel CPU and what exactly?
2) what monitor is good for this? Do I need gsync or something like that?
3) if r5 1600 is good, then should I buy 1600 or 1600x? Is there any difference in games between them?

Solution
As recommended, the 8600k is a better bet for consistently high FPS.

I say this as a Ryzen owner...Ryzen has its strengths, but Intel's very high single-core performance will keep it ahead in the FPS battle in *current* games.
For pure gaming I would spend the extra on the CPU and get the 6 core i5 AMD still can't match the single core performance of Intel.
Something like this the case comes down to the looks you like. You could also add a larger SSD for your main games if you wish.

If your not playing twitch shooter games where you need the 144 refresh rate I would consider a 1440p 27 inch monitor with a 60 refresh rate.

I'm playing, so 144hz is important, 1080p is enough.
Sorry, I didn't mention it, I don't need hard drives.
Thanks for you build, but I'm looking for something cheaper, about 1200-1300$. Thats why I consider r5 1600

The extra 150 bucks for the intel build is worth it.
R5 1600. Still need a case.
