my current memory kit is gskill ripjaws v 2400mhz cl17 (8*2)
what i want to know is what speed is should run it at?
stock 2400mhz timings are 17 17 17 39 55
when i bump it upto 3000mhz 18 21 21 48 69
for tighter timings on 2133mhz 15 15 15 25 50
Now i only wanna play with speed here not timings because last time i played with timings on my vengeance lpx cl16 2400 kit i think i fried one of the sticks,luckily i was able to get the current kit in place of that so dont wanna take that risk again here.
Also what i have noticed that 2133 gives better performance than 2400 and equal or a bit less than 3000 but thats just what i felt,didnt ran any memory benchmarks or anything.Plus running the memory on 3000 also increases the cpu temps by around 5C and as I also OC the CPU the temps sit around 64-68 around heavy gaming.so if performance gain isnt much then this increase in temp also aint worth it
