Question ryzen 1500x to a 3600

This has probably already been posted so I'll keep it brief.
I'm considering upgrading my ryzen 1500x to a 3600. I have a zotac 1070ti amp you and game mostly in 1080p as it's my monsters native res. Is it worth it? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Yes it's definitely worth it. The 3600 is quite a bit faster than a 1500x for the same TDP.

Whether it's worth it is entirely up to you.

With that said, the 500mhz difference in max boost, along with the IPC increase with 3rd Gen Ryzen is gonna give you a nice little FPS boost with your 1070ti. Maybe as much as 15% game dependent. Also for newer AAA games the extra cores and threads will help. Games like BF V will be a lot smoother too.

What ram set up do you have? Ryzen likes fast ram, and dual channel.

At 1080p, you could go high hertz with a 3600/1070ti combo, and touch 144hz in the majority of games. Maybe not the newest, but would still be a nice experience all the same.

Definitely would be worth the upgrade. Games are starting to require more than 4 cores / 8 threads. With the PS5 having 8 zen 2 cores you'll definitely want at least 6 cores / 12 threads to even begin to keep up.

Depends entirely on you man I m using 3600 with 1070 amp I upgraded from intel 7500 for me it is a new machine all together every game is going touching 100 on 1080p but 3600 needs high frequency ram and good cooling and you have a winner.
I need to update my monitor though its 60hz only [emoji24]
