Hello,

So I currently am using the R5 1600 cpu which boosts at 3.4 Ghz, and I was thinking what GPU to buy for myself and confused between an RTX 2060S or RX 5700XT. But I heard that maybe there could be a bottleneck, now im more interested to buy the 5700XT, can you guys help me decide, and tell me how big of a bottleneck there could be? I dont mind if its a small one. And if I overclock my cpu with a good cooler to 4Ghz, will that avoid any bottleneck?

I need to choose which gpu will be the best performance for me in low price, note I want to choose between an RTX 2060, 2060S, RX 5700 and RX 5700XT.

Help is appreciated!

Thanks

Solution
Well my Ryzen 5 1600 3.8Ghz bottlenecked RTX 2080 even at 1440p and the performance was back until i upgraded to 3700X for the biggest amount of games. 2080 and 5700XT have a ~15% performance difference so i believe at 1080p yes the Ryzen 5 1600 will be a bottleneck for the most cases especially at stock speeds. If you will be able to upgrade your cpu in the near future then you can pick the 5700XT overclock the 1600 until you get a new cpu. I have the same motherboard AX370 gaming K5 with 3700X running without any issue so you will only need a new cpu (Ryzen 5 3600 if you only gaming).

Hello thanks, can you tell me how much ghz I need to achieve to make sure the bottleneck is subtle or not too much? Because overclocking should give me an extra 5-10 fps per game in average. And what cooler would be best to get the highest overclock? I want to use the 5700XT with ryzen 1600 so please suggest me a cooler and also what ghz is possible
