I'm going to buy an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and I have an R7 260x and i know that the gpu r7 260x would bottleneck the ryzen. My question is how much would the bottleneck affect my gaming perfomance, and if i should buy or not the ryzen.

Solution
The Ryzen5 1600 would give you a very strong platform for future upgrades, so in that sense, it's a good purchase.

Yes, the 260X will limit it quite a bit - the 1600 can pair with much, much stronger GPUs (up to and including a 1080TI).

If you plan to upgrade your GPU in the relatively near future, then I'd go for the Ryzen5 1600 based on the info you've given.

What CPU do you have currently though?

An alternative, if you want a system that you would be a better 'balance' for the money.... you could look to a Ryzen3 1200 and a 1050TI (+MB & DDR4) Would work out only a little more money than just the 1600 + MB & DDR4 (10-15%)

Obviously, 2x8GB @ 3000MHz would be preferred, but it sounds like you're on a budget.

Solution

It dont even matter. It depends on the game and your monitor resolution.
Your buying a decent processor and you can always turn in game settings down.
Just look at it like OK got me a good processor now when I can afford to I will upgrade my video card.
Don't downgrade to a R3 processor just because of the card you have then in a couple years you will need a new processor and video card again instead of just needing a new card when you can get one.

Thanks for the good information, and of course thanks for time you've spent on aswering.

If you know, should I be able to play PUBg, battlefield 1 or games like these?

Sorry for my bad english, it isn't my native language
