Ryzen 1600 vs 1600x

Hey all,

Seeking clarification regarding the clock and overclock speeds for these two. I was looking at their boost speeds but have been told that's wrong, and that they can both be overclocked to 4.0

If you assume that all I'm worried about is clock speeds, is there any point going for the 1600x?
