So in a while im upgrading my pc and im not sure what should i buy , im actually quite happy with my current build but i have some money to waste(around 1000Euros) . Well the thing is my current socket i believe is quite outdated and im not sure how it will perfom after a few years , so i can just upgrade my socket and keep rocking hard with an r9 390 or go with vega or a gtx 1070-80 and i5 4690k . If i overclock tho it wont be by much cause here in Greece the temperature can go above 42c which is crazy .

oh and im also getting a new case specifically coolermaster mastercase pro 5 but no matter what upgrade i do im getting this xd . . .

RESOLUTION : 2560X1080 75HZ

Gpu : Asus R9 390 8gb
Cpu : i5 4460
Motherboard : Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3

Power Supply : Coolermaster G750M
Cpu Cooler : Coolermaster EVO 212

A less expensive option now would be to go for a cpu for your current setup. However I wouldn't upgrade from an i5 to another i5. Yes the 4690k is faster especially if overclocked with decent cooling but it would be better to shoot for an i7 4790k for the hyper threading and higher clock speeds out of the box. Otherwise consider ryzen if you want the additional cores for streaming or other things while gaming.

It also depends on what games you play. Some games are more gpu intensive, others are more cpu intensive. The 1070 or 1080 would be nice upgrades but again if the game will use it. If you play a lot of cs:go the gpu won't be used near as much as if you play witcher 3 or skyrim with hi res texture packs and eye candy turned up to...
I would go with the Ryzen 1600X (or non-X) + 16GB 3000MHz RAM along with a nice B350 mobo that you really like. Sell your old setup and then get a new GPU later when the next-gen stuff comes out. :)

*Actually, you'd probably have enough to buy a 1080 Ti with your leftover funds and after you sell your 4690K + Z97X + 16GB DDR3. SO, [strike]that's an option I'd consider.[/strike]
**I'm looking and the 1080 Ti get's limited by the R5 1600 in games like BF1. Maybe that wouldn't be the best combo.

I play games like witcher 3 , pretty much most of the new AAA titles anyway i might be able to go with i7 and a gtx 1070 do you recommend it over the other upgrade path i can go with?
