I am building a pc mostly for rendering. Now I am buying the Cpu from amazon. The 1700x is only £3 more than the 1700. Due to the 1700x not having a stock cooler, I went back to the 1700. Is it worth getting the 1700x and buying a good 30-40e air cooler or should I just get the 1700?

Solution
Base clock on the 1700 is 3.0Ghz, max turbo speed is 3.7GhZ. For the 1700X the base is 3.4GHZ and the max turbo speed is 3.8GHZ.

I understand that all Ryzen benefit from the higher RAM frequencies. According to AMD the max RAM frequency for the 1700's is 2,667MHZ, but I have read here on Tom's that higher frequency RAM can be used. I can't say for sure because sadly I am still stuck in the FX era with my rig.
