ryzen 1700x gets too hot

i just upgraded from a ryzen 1600 to 1700x and it gets really hot for some reason , i start up the pc and check with a software and its says 72c without playing any games or stress testing, shall i reinstall the cooler or what is the issue , thanks , im using a wraith spire cooler btw

That would be the first thing to consider. Might even be a bad fan that isn't spinning or isn't spinning fast enough. What are you using to read temps and what CPU temps are you reading?
