ryzen 1800x for fps

will ryzen 1800x will be able to push framerates of games like cs:go,overwatch etc to high frame rates like 144hz if my gpu (gtx 1080ti) is able to ? I know that i7-7700k will be able to but i will be using my pc for gaming and alo other stuff so thats why 1800x. Also Which games really need 144hz ?

Probably yes.

The 7700k will out perform it but they are both top of the line processors. I would ask what other stuff you are doing and how much?
Would you be willing to sacrifice the few seconds lost in rendering tasks so as to gain a few more fps in games? Which is more important to you?

I will be doing streaming,editing rendering and heavy gaming so basically all the stuff

You should be just fine at 144 at 1920x1080 with an 1800X. Just OC it to 4.0 manually to ensure its performing to its full potential. I know it turbos to 4.0 but it actually makes a huge difference forcing it to 4.0 manually. You're looking at a 5-20 FPS increase (at stock clock speeds, no OC) with the 7700K and that difference is like 120FPS from the 1800X and 130 from the 7700K (or 150/160, depends on the game and the scene). There's some great demonstrations of this out on the youtube. Contrary to popular belief, you don't actually require 144FPS to be smooth an a 144Hz display.

On the editing & rendering side the 1800X will smoke the 7700K.

But you can overclock the 7700k to 5.0 ghz without even knowing what you are doing and get a bigger increase than that on fps.
