Ryzen 2600 vs 1600X

Agreed. With a little overclocking the 2600 is pretty much always going to do better.

They fixed the latency a lot, but also increased compatibility with memory in general. Also some minor chip optimizations.

Though you might also consider getting a cheap R3-2200G for now. Ryzen 2 (3000 series) here in a few months. Should have clock speeds like Intel.
 
At 100fps, 2% is 2fps difference, so reality is that's so negligible performance difference they are the same. The 2600 Wraith cooler, however, is extremely good for its price, free. Well worth the price over previous iterations from either amd or Intel.

Apart from that, the bug fixes and compatibility fixes inherent in the 2nd Gen Ryzens are a bonus not found in 1st gen, which have to be manually implemented, if you can find them.
