Hey, guys.

I got a Ryzen 1600, 8gb, 1050ti and planning to upgrade this week to 1080p Pure Gaming (WoW, PUBG, RoE, CSGO, GTA5). I am on a serious budget due to currency conversion. It's HELL.

so,

B1: £430
B450 tomahawk +16gb 3000mhz
ryzen 2600 4.1Ghz
rx 570 8gb OC to 1400mhz

B2: £475
B450 tomahawk +16gb 3000mhz
ryzen 2600 4.1Ghz
rx 590 8gb ( rx580 same price )

B3; £510
B450 tomahawk +16gb 3000 mhz
ryzen 3600 Stock
rx 570 8gb OC to 1400mhz

Keep in mind i cannot pay more than £500, so is it worth the extra BIG MONEY or should I just get B1 or B2 and save some cash?

My analysis:
I know the 3600 is at least 15% faster but only with high end GPUs, I have seen This comparison. I'm kinda scared about rx570 being the Bottleneck holding back the 3600, so I am kinda leaning towards B2: it's kinda balanced. 2600 at 4.1Ghz +rx590 is not that bad against 3600+ rx570. Also, those games I play mostly are CPU intensive so maybe i get the 3600 and OC the damn rx570 to 1400?

Any thoughts??

B2 does the best in gaming. It has the best GPU. For gaming, you prioritize the GPU over the CPU, although you still want a good balance in your system. The 2600 and RX 590 is balanced just fine.
Looks like MSI came up with decent BIOS,to support 3600 and you should be able to use 2600 as well 3600.

I have the same combo msi b450 tomahak , ryzen 5 3600 and 3000mhz 16gb ram and gtx 1070ti i came from ryzen 5 1400 3.7Ghz and gtx 1070ti and the difference i can see is the lows with 1400 i was dropping many times bellow 60-50fps now this wont happen but i dont get any higher fps maybe in some esport games only (1080p144hz monitor). I suggest you to go with the better gpu.Ryzen 5 2600 with rx 590 will do better than the other options for gaming.

i don't like that they change the bios back the old one again ... you think will change it later on the ui ?

Would going with B2 (listed as B1: 475€ ) but with a 2600X rather than a 2600 keep you under the 500€ limit?

In the US, the 2600X is generally only about $20 more than the 2600, but comes with the bigger cooler. I would rather keep you ABOVE the RX 570 in terms of performance.

Also, how does the price of the GTX 1660 compare to the RX 580/590 in your country? If it's equal to or less, I'd go with the Nvidia card. Lower power consumption, and slightly better performance than the RX 590.

i actually sold my Current Ryzen 1600, 8gb, b350 gaming plus, 1050 ti for 380€ in my country
+100€ that i have in hand and i can get 1 of those builds, but keep in mind that 45€ difference between builds listed is high due to currency.

so , for 1080p 75hz, which will perform better, B2 or B3, in other words better CPU lower GPU or reverse ?
3600 is not worth it if not paired with high end GPU like gtx1080 or above:

that is my opinion before i created the thread, i was just looking for wisdom in case i forgot some info
lets see other people opinion
It's less of an opinion and more of a fact. People who know about computer parts will agree. I've been building computers since I was 14 years old. I'm 31 now. I read every major hardware review and often even get to try out a lot of the computer hardware myself because I fix and build computers for other people. I'm well educated and I also make my own games and software as a hobby. So there's really no need for anyone's opinion. It's opinions that will get you in trouble. Facts are what you need.

I would normally say that moving from a 1600 to a 2600 is a side-grade and therefore a waste of money, but given the prices involved it looks like it'll end up being a good move (given that you're moving from 1600 to 2600, getting a bit better mobo, and an extra 8GB of RAM for <50 euro). Plus you'll obviously get a significant performance boost from the new GPU.

Keep in mind that testing at low settings at 1080p with 70% render scale (or medium settings at 720p) creates an artificial situation with the RX 580 where you're likely highly CPU-bottlenecked, exaggerating the differences between CPUs. If you were to run at 1080p (100% render scale) at high-ish settings, as I would expect most people would do with an RX 580, I imagine differences would be much smaller.

Your best bet is probably to look at reviews of the 2600 and see if it achieves the framerates you desire in the games you want to play. If it does, it should be fine. If the 3600 is theoretically capable of 15% higher FPS, but you're not going to see it because you're limited by your GPU and/or your monitor refresh rate, is it really important?

Exactly. That's what I was going to say. When you remove the GPU as the bottleneck either by lowering settings or by using an overpowered GPU you will see a difference between those processors but for your use case no. Either way the highest performing combination is the Ryzen 5 2600 and the RX 590. When you have to cut back on the GPU for more CPU it should only be because the CPU is far lacking and the system wouldn't be balanced.

i just ordered 2600 + rx580
its not that i care too much, but who plays games Full high settings, nobody, we all tweak High graphics and high AAA thats all, i think at that point the 3600 will show some difference.

the only main thing i care about is 1% lows that make the game butter smooth, i dont care if the average difference is 10 fps ( 70 vs 80ich ) i just want a smooth game because am kinda fast with low sens, am suffering from 1600 + 1050ti terrible smoothness

I don't understand why they'd compare a card running at stock to an OC'd one. An RX 580 can be OC'd too. Either compare stock to stock or OC to OC.

Plus, I thought you were getting a 590 (for about the same price as you could get a 580), so there'd be an additional performance boost above the 580.
