Ryzen 2600 with an aftermarket air cooler or Ryzen 2600x with stock cooler?

So I thought about changing some parts of my pc and came across these two cpus, should I get the ryzen 2600 with an aftermarket cooler, or should I get the ryzen 2600z with the stock cooler? I'm planning to overclock later down the line and hoping to get the best out of my CPU

I'd get the 2600 with aftermarket cooler, a good air cooler will work just as effective as the 2600X stock cooler and would probably be much quieter.

Agree, standard 2600 and something like the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4, for good air cooling and overlcocking, a little more expensive than most but what a beast of a cooler !

I will do 2600 with stock cooler anytime, that extra 0.1-0.3 GHz coming from 3rd party cooler does not justify the cost imo. No one can guarantee how much overclocking you can get, it depends on your mb choice and luck too.

It's not just the extra overclock but the stock cooler while being somewhat effective is much louder then a aftermarket solution. Most aftermarket coolers in the 30-50$ will outperform the stock Wraith and be much quieter, also is cheaper then the 2600X.

If sound isn't a concern then yes the 2600/stock would be fine.

Btw I'm using all RAM slots, to he specific, they're the T- Force RGB DDR4 RAM
