Hello all,
I am wondering what are some good base setting for a ryzen 2600x on the stock air cooler. I have an asrock b450m pro4 and 3200 ram (through xmp). I am finding the default values to run crazy hot when I do benchmarks. Ryzen master is showing me voltages as high as 1.4 and clocks of nearly 4.2. I get 100c in prime95 in like 5 minutes. That seems very agressive to me. I tried setting it to 1.184v and 3.8ghz and that runs better but still above 90c in prime95. I would like to stay below 90c. The only solution I've found so far is to set the cpu usage to 95% and below under power options in windows. I was wondering what are some recommended values for a ryzen 2600x. I'm not looking for anything crazy - i just want stable performance at or below 90c and I don't particularly want to buy a new cooler if I can help it. What would be some standard settings for 3.6ghz, 3.8ghz and 4.0 ghz (or anything inbetween) that people have found to be stable and at what temps? Are there some good articles out there on topics that would help me with this? I would appreciate help with this please. Thanks.
