Question Ryzen 2600x new cooler needed?

Hello,
My specs are: ryzen 5 2600x stock cooler
B350 tomahawk
Gtx 1070 ti
My case 5 vents.
Seasonic 12v rail 520w bronze psu
Recently I upgraded the gpu from 1060 6gb to 1070 ti which barely fit and forced me to have bad cable management (not awful, but not good either). Since then my Cpu is going crazy
In Bf5 before I never crashed, now I always crash in 10-15 minutes because the CPU reaches 100C. In PUBG my temp ingreased from 72C to 78C with spikes for around 15 seconds to 87C
Ryzen 5 2600x Is overclock to 4.1 GHz all cores with 1.4v, I know its not a stable overclock since I don't pass stress tests, but I never had issues in games until now. Even before upgrading to 1070ti BF5 never crashed.
Is it worth buying a new cooler over the stock one? I would like to keep this overclock. I don't want to spend a lot, and prices for coolers in my country are crazy, a 212 Evo led cooler should be enough to hold 4.1ghz on 1.4v?

Just revert your overclock back to stock, the 2600X has a boost speed of 4.2ghz (not on all cores) but if your overheating you'd get better performance then having it overheat and thermal throttle. Also the stock cooler on the 2600X is roughly as good as the 212 so it really isn't going help.

I tried that, but because I got a b350 board instead of b450, I don't beneficiate from Precision Boost 2,my boost is barely at 3.8 ghz, but mostly staying at stock 3.6. That's why I decided to overclock it myself

Then if a 212 Evo should not help, then a change to thermal paste would do the trick? I never changed it in 8 months, and the one I applied is cheap

I'd take the 3.8ghz boost over having that CPU spiking over 80C as that's too hot. Your not gaining a massive FPS boost from 3.8 to 4.1. Changing the paste would help as well as dusting the system out.

If your temps are spiking that high I would revert back to default clock and voltage change you paste to articsilver if not already using and go with boost control app. As experience from past you risk frying your CPU which would be more than what tour wanting to do. My overclock worked for 2 days then due to high temps went into boot issues. Hope this helps
