I want a PC primarily for gaming, and for that reason I'm going for a GTX 1060 6gb, as it seems to be the best option. But!
The real question...
After hours of searching I haven't really found an answer that satisfies me. What RAM will work best with a Ryzen 2600X for the highest frames? This is the edge of my budget and I can either have 16GB of 2400mhz memory, or 8GB of 3200mhz. Going for anything other would exceed my budget, so I can't do that, or would it be best for me to go for an Intel i5 8400 with a 1060 6gb and 8gb 2400mhz ram or something completely different. My budget is £800. Someone who knows what they're doing please answer this because im not doing a very good job...

Solution
16GB of 2400mhz is good enough, and you could even OC it a bit for extra performance, though I would not. 8GB at 3200 is prime though as long as it's 2 paired sticks of Dual Channel DDR4

with ryzen, pair with DUAL CHANNEL only in matched pairs or sets of 4 only, and as fast as you can afford.
