Hello. I got 2600x today with MSI X470 Gaming Pro. Maximum VCore is 1.456V. Even at Idle I get near 1.4V. SoC Voltage is 1.13V seems to be high too. Is that ok? Actually It cause idle temps be near 45C even with True Spirit 140. I think better to overclock it with stable voltage (also I changed LLC to mode 3 as Buildzoid suggested).

I don't see the point of XFR either, everything works better with all cores OC-ed properly. Better and faster response anyway.
If you set multiplier to let's say 42 and manual voltage to 1.4v you can also try with lower voltage and see if it's all stable. If not, you can also change LLc so it gives somewhat (about 0.005v) higher only when needed.
Yes, they usually set higher starting voltage when on auto. That's because of stability and all CPUs not being equal in every aspect (silicone lottery), your particular CPU may work with much lower voltage for specified frequency. If you want set voltage than you need to set a particular OC. In that case voltage would stay on set level although the power (in Watts) will fluctuate with load. It is actually more critical value than Voltage, for heat and everything else. As Watts can't be measured directly, it's calculated from Volts and Amperes and Amperes are the ones that can do the damage to a component, not voltage itself. It's all just elementary physics W= A*V.

I've just set 4.2Ghz 1.4V and it works well. Should I set it or leave it stock? I really don't see the point of XFR and why people say it's good.

Sorry for bumping, but I would like to do this as well, as I am in the exact same position as OP.
Are there any good tutorials on how to change it?
I am totally new to this, but if my stock voltage is gonna be set to 1,45-1,5 i might as well OC.
