Ryzen 2700x build help/critique

Hello guys,

With this system I want to be able to game, stream, video edit and what not. I plan to safely OC the CPU. Here's the build:

Case: Fractal Design - Meshify C Dark TG ATX Mid Tower Case

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR)

Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Kingston A400 240GB SATAIII 2.5"

PSU: Seasonic FOCUS Plus, 750W, 80+ Gold

GPU: I'm lost.

Cooler: Stock air to see how it handles or 240mm AIO (h100i/h110i/kraken x52?)? Will those coolers have enough space with 29-30cm GPU?


For the GPU I was thinking about 1070ti or 1080 (mostly 1080p gaming, maybe 1440p in future). I would like to keep my GPU spending below $500. I also have 1050 in my old PC, maybe use it for now and see what happens with the 11xx series and 1070ti/1080 prices? GPU RGB lightning on the side is a plus.

Also, if I go with the 1070ti now, what would be a reasonably priced model that would FIT with 240mm AIO (if I go with it?)

I'd like this build to last for many years, so longevity is a priority.

The system seem nice for now.
you could probably wait for RTX 20xx series to launch, so 10xx series would be lowered.
I don't know what you want. It seems good to wait a little.

Me myself I don't have really high end GFX for now. (Old - Gigabyte R9 380)
So I haven't researched much for now.
Maybe some Gigabyte 1070 ti - Gaming X. Or Strix 1070 ti. Better cooling and lower noise. Dunno.
1070 ti because you wanted 1440p. But I don't know what games would be in near future.
1070 ti + 1440p, should be nice. Read in many forums. That is all I can tell.

I would choose a different SSD. Those Kingston drives are not very good. Samsung or Crucial preferably. That case can handle up to a 360mm rad, iirc. Put your build together using PCpartpicker. Makes it much easier to see compatibility and best deals.
