So Im building a new pc since my i5 4460 is doing well for me anymore, and Im going AMD this time since ryzen packs a punch for price/performance. I got my mobo (msi x370 carbon gaming pro) for dirt cheap (75$) and It has all i need. The trouble is where i live, an 1800x+decent cooler (water cooling or heavy aircooling) is 10$ more expensive than the ryzen 2700x which has the stock wraith cooler which i love, and the performance might only be 7% faster and all but i've seen that gaming is less of an issue with this one, baring in mind I game and design apps and more heavy productivity, plus i want to start streaming. My big question is, i've bought the x370 already and wont return it and buy an x470, so, will my mobo work with the ryzen 2700x out of the box without the flashing? The msi web isnt very useful and hasnt given me any advice, so thank you in advance
